Quay wall and breakwater under construction in a Maldivian lagoon at dawn

Reliable. Efficient. Global.

Construction and clearance across the Maldives, since 2003.

A licensed Maldivian contractor and local agent, trusted by Wakachiku, Italian-Thai Development and Hojgaard & Schultz.

Six lines of work under one licence.

Building in the Maldives and moving things into the Maldives run on the same permits and the same relationships. Triways has held both since 2003.

Workers placing reinforcement and formwork on a resort island site

Built for island work, not adapted to it.

The Maldives is more than a thousand islands spread across 500 miles of ocean. Material that clears Malé still has a boat ride ahead of it, and the crew needs a permit before either of them moves. We plan for all of it from the first booking.

One coordinator, start to finish

A named person owns the job from the first quote through customs to the crew standing on the island. You are not re-explaining it to a queue.

Documentation before arrival

Clearance paperwork is lodged while the vessel is still at sea, so berthing time is spent discharging rather than waiting on a signature.

Bought and hired in-country

Materials, provisions and plant sourced here, so a project is not held up waiting on one container carrying everything at once.

What actually changes when Triways handles it.

Licensed since 2003

Registered under Maldivian Government licence C-05/2003, formed by directors who had run major government projects for Hojgaard & Schultz of Denmark.

Chosen by foreign contractors

Wakachiku Construction of Japan and Italian-Thai Development of Thailand each appointed Triways as their local agent in the Maldives.

Clearance is our own desk

Shipping documentation, inward and outward clearance and bunkering permits are handled in-house rather than passed to a third party.

Crew arrives with the cargo

Labour quota, work permits and visas are arranged alongside the freight, so the people and the material land together.

We have worked where the work is.

Resort islands, regional ports and atoll harbours. Clearing Malé is the straightforward half; the rest needs a landing craft, a jetty slot and a crew waiting at the far end.
